Reaching Out
Coming to Bridgehaven for love and trust.
With the ways outside I had enough.
I had problems without a smile.
Always the same burdens in the same old style.
I needed help in so many different ways.
Always tearing me down even if I would pray.
But I found Bridgehaven one unexplainable day.
I felt there would be help if I would stay.
I also found there was groups to attend
with questions to ask as I searched for friends.
Then to help me understand myself that led to my stress.
I started believing in myself again.
It took time with patience
to help teach me the way.
That I was mixed up in my own terrible ways.
The workers there would always lend a hand
and to be that special friend.
I found my problems wouldn’t end over night
I realized it would take time
with realization to make things right.
I can see I am a fighter for I wouldn’t give in.
I found myself trying to become everyones friend.
Now my life is becoming happier day by day.
To my life at Bridgehaven for helping me on my way.
Now I have found a new way to start and how to begin.
Thanks to Bridgehaven for letting me in.
