2010 Bridgehaven Marathon Golf Challenge

In 2009 our golfers braved the elements. After a brief respite due to a rain storm, they headed back out in the humidity to complete their rounds. Thanks to everyone's efforts, we raised $35,500!

Every June golfers attempt (and usually succeed!) to play 100 holes of golf in one day. This uniquely fun event is a popular fund raiser for Bridgehaven, and is free to golfers. The 2010 golf challenge will be Monday, June 21st. If you'd like to participate, please contact Donna Schuster at or (502) 585-9469.

No Kidding, Me Too! Documentary

We had a wonderful time at the screening on May 17th. Emcee Tara Bassett welcomed everybody to the event, and recognized our sponsors. Following the NKM2 Public Service Announcement and screening of the documentary, Tara introduced Joe Pantoliano. Three lucky members of the audience received autographed movie posters in the door prize drawing. Joe then spent several minutes answering questions from the audience, and then signing autographs.

2010 Bridge Builder Lunches

In 2003 Bridgehaven put on our hard-hats and began a major construction project... Building a Bridge.

The Bridge that we are constructing is a Bridge to the Community.

We've been holding Bridge Builder Luncheons, inviting anyone interested in Bridgehaven to a one-hour luncheon, educating those in attendance about the wonderful work being done with the hundreds of persons in our community suffering from severe and persistent mental illness.

We'd like to invite you (and a friend!) to take one hour and learn about us. No one will ask for financial support, it is purely educational in nature.

Lunches start at noon, and end at 1:00. Simply call Donna at 502-585-9469 to make a reservation or e-mail her at . If you'd be interested in bringing a group at another time, or would like us to come to your office, please call Donna to make the arrangements.

2010 Recovery Awards

On April 21, 2009, we had a wonderful time celebrating our members' achievements over the past year at the annual Bridgehaven Recovery Awards.

Members were recognized in categories that included Positive Energy, Outstanding Initiative, Becoming More Independent and Coming Out of Their Shell to name a few.

Bridgehaven Participants' family and friends attend the ceremony to celebrate the accomplishsments of their loved ones, as well as Bridgehaven staff and community supporters.

The 2010 Recovery Awards will be on May 25 at 4:00 at the Center for Women and Families (on Second Street, to the rear of Bridgehaven). Please plan to join us for this heartwarming event.

Bridgehaven's 2009 Bridge Builder Breakfast

Thanks to everyone who helped make this year's breakfast a huge success. Members Nikki and Seth shared their stories of recovery with the 400 attendees at Masterson's. To close the program Bridgehaven's staff, members and friends wore tee shirts like those in the Bring Change to Mind PSA graphically illustrating that not only can anyone suffer from a mental illness, but the illness impacts family and friends as well. Bridgehaven's supporters are the essential piece in helping us provide services to over 500 members a year. Even if you missed the Breakfast, it's not too late to become an essential piece of recovery from mental illness. Click on the "Donate Now" button on this page to help us continue to change lives.
