Reducing Hospitalizations

We have completed the annual hospitalization rate study for members who activated in 2007 and completed at least six months of Bridgehaven services during 2007-08. Once again, the results this year are astonishing. Of these 137 members activated, 53 had been hospitalized during the prior year. Only two (2) of these members were hospitalized during their first six months to one year at Bridgehaven. This represents an incredible 96% reduction in hospitalizations. The decrease in total hospital days per year was 99.6% and represents 2,146 days.

A reduction of 2,146 total days represents a cost savings of at least $1.4 million!
